The Virginia Festival of the Book is a 5-day festival of approximately 125 events on books of many topics, including but not limited to history, mystery, fiction, current affairs, poetry, cooking, photography. These are mostly free literary events that are open to the public. Dates for 2012 are Wednesday, March 21- Sunday, March 25.
