The Albemarle County Fair Board has announced the 2012 dates for the Albemarle County Fair! The upcoming year’s Fair dates will be August 2nd through August 4th, 2012. Hours of operation will be Thursday, August 2nd from 4pm until 8pm; Friday, August 3rd from 10am until 8pm; Saturday, August 4 from 10am until 6pm. The Albemarle County Fair will be held at the outdoor pavilion and grounds of Ash Lawn-Highland, the home of James Monroe, fifth president of the United States, located in Charlottesville, Virginia. The 2012 Albemarle County Fair will be a three-day agricultural celebration, August 2nd-4th. The Albemarle County Fair will present a fun and festive “Old-Time Country Fair” that will feature farm animals, exhibits, baked goods, crafts, family entertainment, 4-H events, livestock, pageant queens, and great old-time country fun! The AFC Board thanks the community for their interest and continued support and looks forward to sharing and celebrating the 2012 Fair at Ashlawn-Highland.
