The 50-member chorus will ring in the holiday season with selections from a wide variety of music genres that appeal to all ages. The concert will begin with music from the 16th and 17th centuries including the classic piece “Exultate Deo” by Italian Baroque composer Alessandro Scarlatti. Also featured will be “The Road Not Taken,” from composer Randall Thompson’s choral masterwork “Frostiana,” a musical setting of poems by Robert Frost. A variety of holiday songs will be performed including “The First Noel,” the spiritual song “Rise Up!,” and contemporary songwriter Jim Brickman’s “Hope Is Born Again.” The concert will conclude with an invitation for all children in the audience to join the choir onstage and sing a medley of popular holiday songs.
