NO BS! will be repping RVA as We Are Star Children will try to take the it home for C-Ville. Let the high-octane battle begin! About No BS! Brass Band: No BS! is a powerful brass band that embraces the spirit of New Orleans into its original East Coast modern funk. Their danceable arrangements are outstandingly well thought-out and organized, drawing inspiration from funk, jazz, klezmer, calypso, and Led Zeppelin. Nearly every member has had conservatory training, holding various Bachelors and Masters degrees in music. Based in Richmond, Virginia, this band has quickly earned a reputation as the premiere band to see for an evening of heart-pounding energy and uncontrollable dancing. About We Are Star Children: We Are Star Children is a 7 piece pop band with one eye on their destiny and the other on your mother. With a sound that blends rock, folk, funk and gypsy, We Are Star Children negotiates a delicate balance between beauty and mayhem. Recognized as one of Charlottesville's foremost party bands and known to frequent debaucherous fundraisers in and around the city, We Are Star Children have since battened down the hatches and fleshed out their sound and set. A slew of new songs and upcoming album showcases an added dimension, which is at once anthemic, antic, and surreal. With their first LP on the horizon and an increasingly energetic sound, the age of Star Children is upon us and beckons another toast.
