Named a 2009 "Great Value" by Travel and Leisure, the Dinsmore House is an historic bed and breakfast inn located in the heart of Charlottesville, Virginia. The home, built by Thomas Jefferson’s master builder in 1817, is at the University of Virginia and a half a mile from Charlottesville’s Historic Downtown Mall. The Dinsmore House B&B is less than five miles from Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, and within a short drive of a dozen wineries. The Dinsmore House was featured in a "Virginia Wine Country" travel editorial that CNN filmed in 2009.
The boutique inn has eight guestrooms, each distinctly decorated, for a unique lodging experience within walking distance of UVA. There are hundreds of merchant shops, restaurants and entertainment options nearby. Inn amenities include a daily full breakfast, afternoon wine social, complimentary DVDs and free garage parking. The Dinsmore House provides a perfect combination of luxury, comfort and ultra-convenience for your visit to Charlottesville. Packages and specials available. Multi-night discounts available.
