Glass House Winery

Glass House Winery is a boutique winery in the heart of the Monticello Wine Trail in central Virginia. We craft artisan wines made solely from grapes grown on our property and in our region. We currently have 6 acres under vine on site and have chosen grapes that bring out the best of the terroir in our region. We cultivate these grapes with meticulous care, while striving to treat the Earth as respectfully and gently as possible in the process. Owners Jeff and Michelle Sanders moved to Virginia in 2006. They were awed by the lush landscape, the beauty of the Blue Ridge and the friendliness of the people. While searching for a way to marry Jeff’s botanical skills with Michelle’s love of creating unique chocolates, the couple discovered Virginia’s promising wine industry. It was a perfect match and Glass House Winery was born. With a tropical flair, artisan wines and chocolates and a very distinctive setting, Glass House is a truly one-of-a-kind winery. We offer estate wines, blends, a very unique chocolate wine and Glass House Winery’s own brand of handmade chocolates. Hours are Fridays noon-8pm, Saturdays noon-6pm, Sundays noon-5pm.  We'll be open all winter, so come visit us!
