Boar's Head Spa

A visit to the Boar's Head Spa is a soothing and refreshing experience for both men and women. The staff has designed massage, hydrotherapy, body wrap, facial, manicure and pedicure treatments, all carefully developed to complement the numerous recreational activities offered by the resort and the area at large.


The Spa offers a variety of services including professional massage therapy; aromatherapy massage; reflexology; craniosacral; LaStone therapy; mud wraps; hydro pack wraps; facial and back care and much more.


Spa Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 am-8:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am-7:00 pm. To make an appointment, please call (434) 972-2253 or (800) 476-1988.

Golf Courses Spectacular Blue Ridge views, invigorating vistas, and 18 holes of challenging golf… It is easy to see why Birdwood Golf Course at The Boar's Head is a highly acclaimed course, with recent accolades including the prestigious 4 ½-star ranking among the Best Places to Play in the 2011 edition of Golf Digest. At the par-72 championship golf course, you can enjoy a course-side meal or snack at the Birdwood Grill overlooking the 18th hole. Be sure to also visit our fully stocked Pro Shop, which caters to your every golfing need with an extensive line of equipment, apparel and accessories. We are pleased to announce Birdwood Golf Course has been selected for the 2010 Best of Charlottesville Award in the Public Golf Course category!

Indoor Facilities (Details) The Boar's Head Sports Club (BHSC) allows members and guests to enjoy a healthy lifestyle in a family-friendly environment. Our first-class facilities and comfortable club culture make the BHSC a great fit for your family. Enjoy our nationally-acclaimed tennis program on 26 state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor courts, a comprehensive fitness center, over 55 weekly fitness classes, activity gym, outdoor aquatics facilities and kids' programs and childcare.

Tennis Courts With 26 courts, The Boar's Head facility stands out as a Top 50 U.S. Tennis Resort. 10 Outdoor Har-Tru courts are carefully maintained for seasonal play and host some of the world best Women from the WTA tour in springtime. Along side our clay, are an additional 4 Outdoor DecoTurf hard courts for year round play. Inside you will find a massive 12 DecoTurf hard courts complex, which plays to the high standards of the ATP and NCAA and serve as the host site of top tournaments. Our six court tennis stadium holds over 1500 for viewing of tournaments and collegiate matches. All of this is complimented with locker rooms and a sports café.
