Activities & Attractions
Yeah, we've got it all. Really, we do. Where else can you watch a horse race with 15,000 people, write in chalk on the one of the nation's premier public monuments, perform a double lutz on ice, hop on a guided wine tasting tour of area vineyards, visit where Edgar Allan Poe lived, eat famous peach ice cream and see an upcoming musicial star all in one day?
But that's just one day, and there is just too much to do to stay for only 24 hours. Visitors must tour the homes of presidents -- Jefferson and Monroe, ride on the only poled ferry operating in the United States, watch the one of the nation's top collegiate baseball teams, attend the concert of a Grammy winning artist, look at an early printing of the Declaration of Independence, drink America's most award winning Irish Stout and eat dinner on the tables that Dave Matthews once waited on as an emerging musician.
But then there is plenty more to do and see on day three, when you can tour a UNISESCO World Heritage Site, learn how to grow mushrooms, play 18-holes of championship golf among ACC golfers... better yet...scope out the listings below. If something strikes your fancy, click Add to Trip Builder and see how your however many days you can stay shapes up.
