Tasting Summer Fruits of the Orchard and Garden

Enjoy the harvest of summer, which was described by Jefferson as "precious refreshment." Garden staff will entertain participants with the fruits of summer: early apples, peaches, figs, grapes, apple cider, melons, tomatoes, pears and others. Short talks on the history of fruit growing in Virginia will supplement the menu in this informal two-hour feast.
