Rapidly becoming a favorite tradition, Charlottesville Restaurant Week is a semi-annual event, occurring each January and July, allowing every participant to eat like an accomplished foodie. For a fixed price of only $26 per person, many of Charlottesville’s finest restaurants offer menus of mix-and-match three-course meals – usually consisting of an appetizer, entrée, and dessert – often featuring some of the restaurant’s spectacularly-made specialty dishes. Even better, one dollar from every meal will be donated to the Blue Ridge Food Bank to combat hunger in central Virginia. Previous Restaurant Weeks have raised over $10,000 for the Food Bank, which is used to provide over 50,000 meals to those in need in the Charlottesville area. Past participating restaurants include bang!, The Boar’s Head Inn, The Melting Pot, Blue Light Grill, The Bavarian Chef, Ten, Tempo, and more. Reservations are recommended well in advance. Tax, gratuity, and beverages are not included.
