Davis Creek cabin is a cozy, clean, environmentally aware , pet and family friendly cabin with two bedrooms, one bath. The master bedroom boasts a king size bed, a loveseat, a closed cabinet with a TV and a DVD player, and a library of DVD's to choose from, or not.... The second bedroom has a full size bed. The beds are Amish made, Original Mattress Factory beds. The linens are all 100% cotton, high count, crisp and clean. Old Fashioned Vanilla Ice Cream (note: cook the recipe the day Before you plan to make the ice cream, so it can chill overnight. also put the canister in the freezer so its good and cold when you add the mix) 2 Cups granulated Sugar 1 1/2 Tablespoons Cornstarch 1/4 teaspoon salt 7 Cups of Milk 5 Eggs, beaten 1 1/2 Tablespoons Vanilla 1 1/2 Cups Half and Half 2 3/4 Cups Heavy Cream Mix the sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a large saucepan over medium heat. Slowly pour in the milk while stirring constantly. Very slowly add the beaten eggs and continue to stir. Reduce heat to low and cook until mixture thickens slightly. Slowly ad vanilla, half and half and heavy cream. Pour into a large glass bowl and refrigerate for 2-4 hours or overnight (preferable). Remove from fridge and pour into canister. Fill to the line on the canister, or no more than 2/3 full, plug in the ice cream maker, put the stirrer in the canister and the lid on. alternately add rock salt and chipped ice around the outside of the canister, pushing down with a spatula. As the ice melts, add more. It takes about 30 -45 minutes for the ice cream to set up. When its done, unplug the ice cream maker and put the ice cream in the freezer or in your belly! YUM!!
