The Charlottesville Dogwood Festival is an annual celebration that runs from late March through late April. It includes popular hometown events like the Festival Carnival in McIntire Park, fireworks display, dogwood tree sale, home run derby competition, Dogwood Track Classic and other family-friendly activities.
The Festival also includes a Grand Parade and rededication of the Dogwood Vietnam Memorial each year. Charlottesville’s Dogwood Vietnam Memorial was the first civic/public memorial in the United States dedicated to those who served and sacrificed their lives in the service to their country in the war in Vietnam.
