Four County Players is Central Virginia's oldest, continuously- operating community theatre. For twenty- eight years, the Players have delighted audiences with a full range of theater experiences. Located in a rural area, the theater is the cultural hub for the community. Serving as both a cultural and educational center, the Players are well known for their masterful musicals and magical productions of Shakespeare. In collaboration with the Barboursville Vineyards, audiences are enchanted with evenings of classic Shakespeare performed in the beauty of the vineyards and the majesty of the historic ruins of the mansion Governor Barbour, Virginia's first governor.
