Paradox Pastry’s owner Jenny Peterson has blessed the Downtown area with her masterful pastry skills learned at the French Le Cordon Bleu cooking school. While her talents are sophisticated and refined, the café’s laid back atmosphere and interior are so comfortable they make you feel right at home in your mother’s kitchen. Open until 10:00pm Thursday through Saturday, Paradox Pastry is the perfect spot to savor dessert after dinner on the Downtown Mall. And for those with less of a sweet tooth, the café also has a wide variety of beers and wines available for your enjoyment.  While the café is a great place to grab lunch and enjoy a cup of coffee, its more private upper-level seating area is also perfect for holding a book club meeting or get together among friends. During your next visit, be sure to try their gluten free Virginia Peanut Butter and Chocolate Mousse Tortes or their famous Guinness stout chocolate cake with Irish cream frosting. Paradox Pastry also takes orders for their custom studio cakes that are sure to be a crowd pleaser at your next special event!
