The Palette

The Palette is an Arts & Crafts bungalow, (aka Craftsman by the Stickley group) from the early 1900's. Homes of this type have wide eaves, many windows, built in book shelves, and few hallways. Enjoy a collection of artwork throughout the home from painter friends, purchases from travels, and the owner's work too. There is an original poster from the 1975 Springsteen concert at Memorial Gym! Living room has a small TV, full kitchen and dining room. First floor has a den with a Queen sleep sofa along with a full bathroom (claw foot tub, no shower.) Upstairs are a Queen bedroom and a Twins bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. Located just blocks away from UVa's football stadium and in a quiet neighborhood, the new owners enjoyed revitalizing this home. Outdoor spaces include a side porch from the French doors in the living room, a back yard patio with a vine covered seating area where you can also cook out on a propane grill, and a front yard with a patio table. Wood flooring throughout. Off street parking. Owner is a vegetarian and vegan cook--and has a small business called Greenie's. If you'd like a creative vegetarian meal while you're staying at her house, with some planning this may be arranged. Free trolley to downtown just a few blocks away on JPA. Amenities: A/C, TV, Wireless Internet, Private Deck, Outdoor Patio, Gardens, Gas Grill
