Crozet, Virginia – On Sunday, November 11th from 12:00–6:00 pm, Montfair Resort Farm will host its 4th Annual Fall Festival and Open House. The resort, which is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is hosting this popular fall event, free of charge, to celebrate the natural beauty of the area with the community.

“We love this time of year and are thrilled to share Montfair and it’s surrounds with guests and the local community,” states Leora Sheridan Vincenti, co-owner of Montfair Resort Farm. “We had an amazing turn out last year with so many activities that we have now turned the event into an annual Fall Festival.”

This family and dog friendly event will begin at noon and will include hiking the wooded 128-acre property, fishing and canoeing on the 5 acre lake and mountain biking on their well-marked trails. There will be pony rides  offered as well as fishing contest.  The day will also include rustic chair making demos, nature walks and sketching, pictures at the Montfair Love sign and tours of the rustic cabins which are open year round for the public. Relaxing and enjoying the fall foliage and mountain views are also strongly encouraged.

Mouth Wide Open, a local food truck, will be at Montfair for the Festival (or you may bring your own picnic basket), apple butter will be made onsite, local hot cider will be provided and music will be provided by Freddie Frazier and the Blue Mountain Boys.

The day will conclude with a s'mores bonfire by the lake and a Children's Lantern Walk led by Tinkergarten Charlottesville, an organization that designs classes to help kids develop and grow through outdoor play based learning activities.

Although the event is free to the public, Montfair, in partnership with the International Rescue Committee, will be collecting children’s coats and winter gear for refugees.  More information about this amazing organization can be found at
