Our brewery is not just a passing fad but our home, and represents the core of what we believe: Make a beer that's better, in a town that has inspired us to be better. A town whose streets run to the river- and whose green hills are a man-made earthen levy to keep the James River from flooding the town. Today, these green hills of Scottsville protect a burgeoning culture of food, music, art and festivals that James River Brewing has committed to building our wonderful brews around. A beer that ranges from exotic Kind Woman, a chocolate raspberry lager, or the locally inspired Hatton Ale, a summer beer that will be held up with pride by the town of Scottsville as its very own.
