A picturesque, relaxed retreat tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, Montfair offers nine lakeside vacation cottages, the Main House, and a stunning Events Lodge overlooking the water. Thoughtfully equipped with Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and heat, it’s a place where comfort meets the calm of nature. From here, enjoy scenic drives to Shenandoah National Park, the charming town of Crozet, Charlottesville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Skyline Drive.

On site, spend your days canoeing on the lake, biking quiet paths, casting a line, birdwatching, or wandering our peaceful nature trails. Pets are welcome, and our lakeside Events Lodge provides a beautiful setting for weddings, retreats, reunions, and meetings.

Montfair also loves welcoming the local community. Join us for recreational day use Sunday–Thursday for just $5 per person, or enjoy free Nature Journaling on Tuesdays and Free Fishing Wednesdays. Please check in at the front office to pick up a trail map and sign a liability release form before heading out.
