Private Events at Monticello

Host your next event at one of our world class venues, where history meets modern hospitality. Whether it’s a corporate retreat, meeting, wedding, or social gathering, our unique venues offer breathtaking views, state-of-the-art facilities, and exceptional catering by Constellation Culinary Group.

For over 100 years, Monticello has been maintained and kept open to the public by the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, a private, non-profit organization. The foundation offers individuals and groups the opportunity to rent select spaces for private events.

As a Site of Conscience, we are committed to engaging our guests with a deeper understanding of Monticello’s history as a plantation. Out of respect for the enslaved men, women, and children who lived and labored here, we do not allow private, non-educational events on the West Lawn, Mulberry Row, or elsewhere on the mountaintop.

Meeting Planner Info: Monticello’s venues offer a unique and inspiring setting for corporate retreats and meetings, blending history, the power of place, and world-class facilities to foster creativity, collaboration, and leadership development. Retreat participants have the opportunity to engage with our nation’s rich history through tours, talks, and other curated experiences that explore the visions and ideals of our founding.

Enhanced experiences could include remarks by a Monticello expert or scholar, intimate tours of special collections and objects, private and after-hours tours of the Monticello home, visits by Thomas Jefferson, interpreted by Bill Barker, Jeffersonian Feast of Reason Dinners, curated wine tastings at Jefferson Vineyards, or corporate gifts from our Shop at Monticello.
