Southwest Mountains Vineyards is set along the Virginia foothills of the Southwest Mountain Range in Keswick, Virginia. Known for its idyllic scenery and pastoral vibe, Keswick is a beautiful and integral part of Virginia’s Monticello AVA.

With a new Tasting Room and state-of-the art production facility which opened to the public in September 2023, our mission is to highlight this extraordinary terroir and craft the finest of Virginia wines.

Rooted in tradition, our new Tasting Room has been converted from one of the many historic barns that dot the Keswick landscape. The rustic but stately Pole Barn dates back to 1903 and is truly a site to behold. It is fully restored and is now home to our award-winning Southwest Mountains Vineyards wines!

Reservations are strongly encouraged for the second floor Tasting Room. All second floor Tasting Room reservations will have tableside service and you will have the opportunity to order SMV wines and seasonal culinary delights from our menu prepared by Chef Gregory Lewis.

No reservations are needed for our first floor indoor or outdoor seating options. We offer a plethora of indoor seating options as well as a Tasting Bar for those interested in trying our Award-winning wines by the flight, glass or by the bottle. Guests may also enjoy 3 outdoor patios with tables and chairs which are also available without reservations. Enjoy the grassy area beyond the patio with our water feature and bring your lawn chairs or picnic blanket if you’d prefer to sit alongside the vines.
