Join us in person from 3-4pm on Saturdays in September and October as part of the Charlottesville Arts Excursion! In this beginner 1 hour workshop, you will create your own Blue Ridge Mountain Art Weaving / Wall Hanging. Inspired by our current window display, we will provide an approximately 12" x 15" chicken wire base along with strips of fabric ranging from blue to white. You will be instructed on how to craft the art weaving and the creativity will be left up to you!

Limit of 6 people per class. There is no charge/cost to sign up, but we do require advance registration. We require that you wear a mask properly 100% of the time while in our store (regardless of vaccination status), no exceptions. Social Distancing measures will be in place for the weaving, but note that you may be in closer proximity to someone while obtaining fabric supplies. We will do our best to stagger the process.

While we will try our best to ensure that the chicken wire has been bent to minimize any rough edges, we cannot guarantee your safety given the nature of the project. By signing up for this workshop, you release rock paper scissors (RPS) of any liability in personal injury.

Participants are welcome to bring their own fabric for weaving if they would like, but plenty will be supplied. Participants are also welcome to bring their own (might we suggest: clean) gardening gloves to help protect against any chicken wire scratches.

We look forward to a fun hour of immersive arts, and to meeting you!
