Curtis Prince and The Clairvoyants are an all-original, serious rock ‘n’ roll band heavily influenced by Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Whiskeytown. Their music features in depth, esoteric, cosmic lyrics, exciting and innovative instrumental sections, and strong grooves.
Curtis Prince's voice is soulful, controlled, and rich, like chocolate milk, with a raspy Tom Waits undercurrent. His guitar playing is truly unique, yet incorporates styles from Jimi Hendrix, Derek Trucks, Gerry Garcia, and David Hidalgo.
The band includes Jim Ralston on the drums, from the famed band Baaba Seth, and legendary producer, engineer, sound man, and instrumentalist, Tim Ryan, on bass. Both are also members of The Gladstones. Together they are creating a new genre of beautiful, soulful, original rock ‘n’ roll for the planet.
As of late, Curtis Prince and the Clairvoyants have been working regionally throughout central Virginia, gigging in Richmond, Charlottesville, DC, and Staunton. Thirteen new songs have recently been recorded at Studio 607 in Ivy, VA. The tunes will be released bi-monthly starting in November 2016. Songs will be available for your listening pleasure at all online music stores.
