Historic Walking Tour of Court Square

Stroll around the Court Square familiar to Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe. Join our expert guides to learn about the early years of Albemarle County and Charlottesville, its citizens, businesses, and buildings. During a roughly 1 and a half hour tour, you will see reminders of over 250 years of our community’s heritage.

Our tours run every Thursday and Friday evening beginning at 5:30pm, and every Saturday morning beginning at 10am through mid-October. Tours depart each week from the steps of the McIntire Building (200 Second Street NE), do not require a reservation, and cost $5 per person.
