ABOUT

For the first time, local citizen artist Laura Lee Gulledge shares her passion & backstory working in this emerging art form. Learn about the evolution of street art from ancient Roman graffiti to Banksy, and the constantly expanding possibilities from flower bombing to chalking to wheatpasting. What makes something art rather than vandalism? What is considered public space and how do we responsibility engage with community? Why even make art that is impermanent & anonymous?

Participants will explore a mixture of mediums like using spray paint & stenciling (outside) as well as special secret “Agents of Whimsy” Artner capers around the grounds of McGuffey. All skill levels are welcome!

Students are required to wear masks art all times and follow COVID safety protocols, and Laura Lee is fully vaccinated. Please reach out if you have questions or concerns.
