July 4th at Monticello

Join us and celebrate "the great birthday of our republic" and experience the 56th annual Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony at Monticello. 

Admission to the ceremony is FREE and open to the public.

In homage to Mr. Jefferson, who opened the President’s House to the public on July 4th, we will host a Jeffersonian Open House with free walk-through tours from 11:15 AM to 1 PM  following the ceremony.  House tour reservations are first-come, first-served.

Parking is available at Piedmont Virginia Community College. Shuttle reservations are recommended to secure a shuttle time to Monticello. Please arrive by 8 AM to allow time for parking and security.
