This class is for families who are just beginning their journey into respectful parenting. We will discuss the basics of attachment, brain development, and the parent’s role in a respectful model.

We will pull some basic ideas from RIE, Conscious Discipline, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and look at these ideas alongside some brain research about what young children need from their parents.

This is a great class for parents who are expecting their first child or trying to co-parent and set strategy together. We will explore your philosophy on parenting and discuss the things that are most important to you as a parent.

All caregivers are welcome at any of the Our Neighborhood classes and we happily provide professional development hours to teachers who need credit. Caregiver refers to anyone who is working regularly with young children such as parents, teachers, nanny, and others who support young children.

Classes are $20 per person or $35 per couple. All classes are free to currently enrolled Our Neighborhood families.

Childcare available with RSVP: $10 per child.
