The University of Virginia's Voice Center will hold its fourth annual World Voice Day celebration on Friday, April 6th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at The Front Porch. The event will feature performances by Charlottesville singer-songwriters Genna Matthew and Mariana Bell beginning at 7:00. The concert is free and open to the public. Catering will be provided by Tilman's Cheese & Wine. Tilman's is also offering food and beverage discounts at their shop on the downtown mall the day of the event.
The mission of World Voice Day is to increase public awareness about the importance of vocal health and bring attention the solutions that the UVA Voice Team can provide when problems do arise. The UVA Voice Team includes Dr. James J. Daniero, Joanna Lott, Casey Resnick, and Nick Barone, Ph.D. The event is sponsored by the Curry School of Education and UVA's Voice & Swallowing Clinic within the Department of Otolaryngology--Head & Neck Surgery.
