The Depot is pleased to welcome Gideon McCarthy as our April Guest Artist. Gideon is a 15-year-old potter from Batesville, Virginia, who discovered wheel throwing during the 2021 pandemic and has been working in clay ever since. Creating all of his work in a small studio behind his home, he focuses on thoughtfully crafted wheel-thrown forms such as mugs, pitchers, and vessels. Join us for an Artist Reception on April 11th from 11am –1 PM to meet Gideon and see his work.
