This show is a part of the Rivanna Roots Concert Series, presented by The Front Porch and Rivanna River Company. Doors open at 5 pm and music is from 6-9 pm. This is an outdoor show and all concerts are rain or shine.

Koolant Brown is a talented reggae artist and former lead singer of the iconic Wailers Band, hails from the scenic parish of St. Thomas, Jamaica. A man of peace with an unwavering commitment to spreading positivity, Koolant's soulful voice and uplifting messages have made him a celebrated figure in reggae music. During his tenure with The Wailers, Koolant had the honor of touring the globe alongside the legendary Aston "Family Man" Barrett, the renowned bassist and co-founder of the band. Together, they carried forward the timeless legacy of Bob Marley and The Wailers, delivering electrifying performances that celebrated love, unity, and resilience. Known for his powerful single "Race," Koolant Brown continues to inspire fans with music that transcends boundaries and connects people from all walks of life. Deeply rooted in his Jamaican heritage, he uses his art as a vehicle for change, staying true to the authentic spirit of reggae.Whether performing on international stages or engaging with local communities, Koolant remains a proud ambassador of the music and message that have defined generations, leaving a lasting impact wherever his journey takes him.

One of Charlottesville's premier world music ensembles, led by founding members William 'Whit' Whitten and Darrell Rose (formerly of The Wailers), will be joined by a special guest guitarist Chris Leva, for an unforgettable evening of global rhythms.
