Join the Virginia Guide Service and the Descendants of Enslaved Communities at UVA for a tour of the Memorial to Enslaved Laborers and Q&A session, led by DEC-UVA president Jessica Harris.
The tour will cover the history, design, and community significance of the memorial, lasting about 30 minutes. This will be followed by a Q&A with President Harris, along with light refreshments.
This event is part of the larger April 6-11 "Public History Week" event series hosted by the Virginia Guide Service, an independent, student-run nonprofit organization where students research the history of Charlottesville and the University, write their own tours, and share them with the public!
