Route 670, Syria, VA 22743

(540) 923-4231

On the farm, along with their animals, Graves Mountain Farms provide education on growing fruit and vegetables through their gardens and orchards. Around the first of July, the peaches--25 acres of Clingstone, Semi-Clingstone, and Freestone peaches--ripen. These are available for purchase at their packing shed for purchase, and customers may not pick-their-own. In August the first of the apples, the Rambo variety, ripen. After Rambo, McIntosh, Ginger Gold and Gala apples come into season. In September, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Empire Apples are ready for picking and by the end of the month Staymen Apples are ripe. Once October rolls around, the rest of the varieties come into season, York, Winesap, Rome, Granny Smith, Mustu, and Fugi. Their Pick-Your- Own Orchard is open on weekends starting September 17, 2005 through October 16, 2005. Hours: 9 am-4:30 pm.
