James River Boat Landing at Columbia

Like many of the boat landings along the James River, the boat landing at Columbia provides a wonderful point of access to the river. Fisherman and boaters can easily park at the site, located just to the side of the bridge crossing the James River. The landing is open 24 hours a day, and is managed by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.<p>Built in the early 1970's, the boat landing provides an ideal and pleasant place for recreational boating and fishing in Fluvanna County. Closings during high water and flood watches are listed on the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries web site.
