When Thomas Jefferson and Italian Filippo Mazzei decided to establish a vineyard, they chose the land between Monticello and Ash-Lawn – the site of present day Jefferson Vineyards. With financial backing of many of our nation’s Founding Fathers, Jefferson and Mazzei aspired to produce the wines we now bottle: Meritage, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot.
Come sample our award-winning wines. Bring a picnic lunch and relax on the deck with views of the mountains. We are open seven days a week. Tastings are $12 and include a souvenir glass. Private group tastings are available with a reservation ONLY and special pricing. Please call us in advance to reserve, or check our website at www.jeffersonvineyards.com/tastings/ for current information on hours and tasting options. We are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Our tasting room closes early on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
