Leander J. McCormick Observatory

The McCormick Observatory is open on the first and third Friday night of each month for about 2 hours. 1st and 3rd Fridays, 9:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., Apr.- Oct.; 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Nov.-Mar.

Groups (school children, church groups, etc.) should call to schedule a visit at McCormick. All faculty and graduate students participate through a rotating schedule.

Online Exhibits include History of the Observatory and the Virtual Hall of Precision Astrometry. Past Exhibits include TECHNOBOT 2000 and Under Southern Skies: Aboriginal and Western Scientific Perspectives of the Australian Night Sky.
