Lewis & Clark Exploratory Center

The Lewis & Clark Exploratory Center is open to the public Tuesday through Thursday, 1-5, and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 to 4 with tours of full-size Lewis & Clark Expedition replica boats and hands-on activities for explorers of all ages. Last entry is an hour before closing. We have rotating and permanent exhibitions related to both the local history of Lewis & Clark and the national journey. $7 per person. Rotating activities include all the endeavors of the Corps of Discovery: mapmaking, journaling, drawing, nature observation, carpentry, boat building, and more. Visitors can also hike on beautiful trails by the Rivanna River.
