Tourism Master Plan

We are working on a long-term strategic plan to help increase tourism and its economic impact across the Charlottesville/Albemarle region. We are partnering on this initiative with SIR, a Richmond-based strategy and research firm, who have conducted interviews and an online survey of our partners as part of this assessment.

SIR Community Stakeholder Engagement

As someone familiar with the Charlottesville region, your perspective and voice are important in this planning process. We especially encourage businesses in the tourism and hospitality industry (including restaurants, retail, the arts, outdoor recreation, wineries, craft beverages, hotels and other accommodations, etc.) to attend our April 22, 2024 Board Meeting to provide their input. There will be opportunities for partners to engage with the discussion outside of providing public comment.
