Two hundred and fifty years ago, the words of the Declaration of Independence rolled off printing presses and changed the world. This summer at Monticello, you can experience that moment for yourself.

Presented by Arion Press and Monticello, with support from Josef Beery, this hands-on letterpress activity invites you to print your own Declaration broadside using a working printing press — the same kind of process that first carried those founding words across the colonies.

Join us at the Mountaintop Activity Center on select summer dates (June 13, June 20, June 27, July 11, September 10), and leave with something genuinely worth keeping.
