July Guest Artist: Liz Buckner-Yordy of Petite Buzz Farm, "The Art of Gathering"

Join us at Crozet Artisan Depot this July as we welcome guest artist Liz Buckner-Yordy and her exhibition, The Art of Gathering. There will be an artist reception on July 11th from 11 am - 1 pm.

At Petite Buzz Farm, gathering is both a way of life and the beginning of the creative process. As a gardener, beekeeper, and artist, Liz works in partnership with the land—tending botanicals, caring for bees, and collecting leaves from the trees that shape her thirty-acre farm. These elements become the foundation for her handcrafted work.

Farm-grown botanicals, honey, and beeswax are transformed into natural skincare products, while leaves gathered from the landscape are pressed into leather and textiles to create journals, wallets, earrings, and silk and wool scarves. Each piece carries the imprint of the land and the changing seasons.

The Art of Gathering explores the connection between nature, craftsmanship, and the practice of paying attention—celebrating the beauty found in what the land offers and the creativity that follows.
