Join We Are Star Children w/ special guests, Films On Song for an energetic night of great music at Pro Re Nata Brew Pub & Music Hall in Crozet, VA.

We Are Star Children is a 9-piece "adventure pop" band from Charlottesville, VA. They veer in and out of conventional rock/pop arrangement: horn and synth cascade over a surging rhythm section, brazen enough to share lead with the advancing wall of rich harmony vocals. In their recordings and live shows alike, they continually dance with beauty and mayhem, occasionally spinning into a contemplative waltz or tip-toeing down an eerie alley, but ultimately whipping the crowd into a full froth. They frequent debaucherous fundraisers, host homegrown shows in bookstores, and bring down the house whenever they appear on stage.

Films on Song is an indie pop/post-punk group from Charlottesville, Va. They are heavily inspired by 80s pop legends and write catchy melodic tunes with slightly evasive lyrics. Founded in 2018 by guitarist/lead vocalist Jonathan Teeter and bassist/vocalist Francis McKee, the band recently expanded their live sound with Carolyn Duren on keys and Max Bollinger on drums to bring together something beautiful and gritty.

Films On Song often hint at Dreampop, Shoegaze and Slacker Rock - at times all separately, and others all at once. Their debut album, Slightly Nightly, came out in October 2023!
